Tyranny, meet anarchy

The city of Eantasyl is fortunate in its placement, and is considered old for even an elven city. The streets are some kind of shimmery stone, the buildings neatly arranged and well maintained. It's pleasant, and generally considered a nice place for the rich to retire. There's a noticeable lack of greenery and foliage on the streets themselves - the place is kept very dense, and it's can be guessed that its citizens thought they had enough foliage already. It sits at the base of one of the very first world trees. One could be forgiven for missing the city for the tree - it's several thousand feet tall, and its branches bring shade to more than half of Eantasyl. They do not need gardens. They have enough to spare, up in the sky.

(The leaves are a pain to rake.)

Despite many of its flaws (and there are many) the Sunrise Empire isn't actually a horrible place to live. This place especially. Just steer clear of the government, keep your head down, don't join any rebellions, and don't break any laws, and you'll be fine. Probably. Unless there are dangerous criminals running around, causing trouble.

But that hardly ever happens. The Ministry has it all under control.

Jinx looks at Inavet as if her head's fallen off.

"Plan?"

(Vaporize the traps and the lock for good measure. Now then, gooey centre...?)

The gooey centre... Contains a man, almost naked, with various tubes in various places. Keeping him alive, obviously.

Inavet looks at him, expressionlessly, then looks back at Jinx.

"What have you done so far?" she asks, repressing a sigh. "Besides, obviously, this. You got him somewhere." She points at Kuvair.

"There was some annoying security in the way."

Jinx pokes the unconscious man.

"Hey, Kuvair, can you help me with this? I dunno if I have the right crap to wake this guy up with."

"Sure thing." Kuvair gets to attempting to help! ... He is very confused about where to start! But he tries.

"So you came straight here? Did nothing else?"

(Somehow she doubts that.)

"Like I said, annoying security. There are some holes in the big tree. Nothing major, honestly."

[poll_the_stars]

"... Why did you blow holes in the big tree," says Inavet, carefully.

"It was in the way. I was aiming for the local prison. Also - backstop, natch."

[poll_the_stars]

As far as excuses go, for Jinx, that's... Not the worst. It is really awful, though.

"Okay." Blink. "Um. I don't suppose I can call dibs on all of Facet? I was here first, after all."

Jinx shrugs. "Sure, works. Mind if I stick around for the 'retrieve all the living-dead-guys' part?"

[poll_the_stars]

"... No, I welcome your help with that," says Inavet. "Thanks."

Jinx nods.

"Alright then, feel free to have a look at this guy while I go melt some more floor."

She moves over to near coffin #2 and starts burning.

Good, that's. Good.

Inavet makes her way down to the poor sap currently entubed.

"... The fuck even is this," she hisses to Kuvair. "What in the..."

[aestrix]

"Yeah, golden one protect my goddess-damned soul, I have no idea what the fuck this is. Besides a lot of crazy."

[poll_the_stars]

"Ugh. Agreed. A lot of crazy, and no morals at all."

Burn burn burn yawn burn burn.

... Okay, she needs something more specialized for this. Anyone using the transmuter? No? Let's spend a few minutes repurposing it to be a penetrating disintegration beam.

Jinx picks up the inexplicable wand.

..."Huh."

Inavet glances up, confused.

"Where did that come from?" she wonders.

"Boo!"
Suddenly there are butterflies everywhere. They're quite distracting.

"Hi, Xom," sighs Inavet.

[itstandsforjinx]

"ACK!"

Jinx startles, and waves her minigun wildly at the obstructing cloud of butterflies. Fortunately, she's not so jumpy as to actually shear the room in half.

Good.

"He'll go with you when you leave, right?"

[itstandsforjinx]

Jinx spreads her hands. "Don't ask me, Xom does what Xom does."

[poll_the_stars]

Inavet is starting to get a headache.

"Okay. Well. If you could convince him to follow you out of Facet, I'd be grateful. I've been... kicking my government's ass for several hundred years, and it's right where I want it, and I have a ton of, sweet magic powers now. I kind of want to be the one to take it out, you know? No godly interference."

Lie. Lie lie lie lie. Aisilian's already helped her. She just doesn't want Xom's interference.
